Mmmmmmm......Thread!

Mom and I went to our local supplier, and I finished out my thread collection - my pieces are generally smallish, so it may take me years to use these up!

I got three solids: black, orange and brown, and tons of the variegated! Signature has some beautiful new colorways out! I can't wait to go to the studio tomorrow to play with them, it's like have a bunch of new friends. I may just throw on a black fabric sandwich on the machine, and do a little square of dense quilting of each color, fun!

I'm pretty tired now though - way more driving in one day than my body, patience and psyche is accustomed to dealing with. (I had to drive through the crosstown twice..anyone who lives in the Twin Cities will have pity on me.)

I'm so pleased to have these new colors, many of them will be perfect for the paint stick pieces I did. Plus, the bright colors should be great for my quilt with a sense of humor. I'm also thrilled to have the solid orange, I can't tell you how many times I've needed that over the last few pieces!

One more shopping trip to Nasco this weekend, then I should be set for a good long while. (I'll have to be, as you probably know, supplies for quilting/surface design are not exactly cheap!) I'm very excited to hermit myself into my studio for the next few months preparing for the art crawl. It's nice to be able to stock up with just two trips!

And maybe if I keep busy, I won't obsess over when my new frame will arrive. Mmmm...frame. I wonder if it will have a "new frame smell"...

The new countdown application for my iPhone tells me that I have 73 days until Art-A-Whirl. Time to get my booty into gear!

I'm also considering offering a small free paper piece pattern each month on the blog here. If anyone would be interested in that, let me know!

Have a great night, I'm going out for a burger!

Your new frame may not have that "New Frame Smell", but you'l be able to stroke and pet it when it arrives. What Pleasure!

That thread is definitely eye candy. You'll be able to play for a long time. We are always interested in new patterns. So nice of you to share. Have fun.
