Not Enough Hours

It seems that there are just not enough hours in the day, are there? Though yesterday was filled to the brim! After showing a friend how to get to my studio, the day was then jam packed full of completing the 28 pillows! I got all but a few sets done, those will be completed today.

Then the night was stolen by errand running. First to Menards for design board material, then to Walmart for an assortment of things. One of those "things' was carpeting. We have neither the time nor the ambition to lay down carpeting before Art-A-Whirl. So for $20 a pop, I got a bunch of indoor/outdoor area rugs. I will buy more when they get more of my color (grey) in. This may actually work out better for me, as management didn't seem to want me to tape down carpeting at all. (Grr!)

I'm excited that I am finally starting to work under my new business name - Fiber Arts Studio! I will have a website up in the coming weeks, and June will see the first classes that FAS will be offering! From intuition classes to free motion quilting, to surface design! Hopefully I will be able to find more teachers that want to use my studio for classes. So if you're in or around the Minneapolis area, and are looking for a place to teach, contact me.

Today's goals are to finish the few remaining pillows, and then to start straightening up the studio. And if there's time or I get bored of cleaning, I will be loading more backing onto the longarm to quilt my new banners for the shop, and the large leaf with windows piece I batiked last week.

Sorry there are no pictures today - I was in such a hurry yesterday I forgot! I will remember to take some today though!

Stephanie, you're doing so great! I'm glad you're done with those pillows...nothing like feeling something has gone on too long to sap the fun out of it.
I alllllmost visited you today, but errands took too long and I had to go to work.
I'd like to know how much it costs to rent your studio just to have a bunch of quilters come over for a night of sewing.
